Year-Round Book Sale
You don't have to wait until one of our weekend book sales to buy books at the library - we have used books for sale on shelves just inside the front door. And while we only had books for adults there in the past, we now offer children's books as well! All sale books are self-serve and you can leave your money in a lockbox on the shelf. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, all proceeds go to the library. Meanwhile, don't forget to donate your old unwanted books as well, in one of the boxes just inside the door!

Grand Prize in the 4th of July Parade
Congratulations to us for winning the Grand Prize in the Glencoe 4th of July Parade! We're proudly displaying the trophy in the entryway to the library and we've got lots of pictures available here. Thanks to everyone - staff, Library Board members, Friends of the Library, family members and fans - who participated, despite the less than ideal weather conditions. We hope everybody had as a good a time as we did!

Recycle Your Small Electronics at the Library
We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Recycling Avenue to recycle small electronics at the library! There is now a plastic bin located near the washrooms in which you can put your old cell phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, ink cartridges, laptops and notebook computers. Recycling Avenue, a business that employs the physically challenged, will then pick up these items and keep them out of landfills. Unfortunately, we cannot accept monitors, fax machines, tower computers, DVD and VHS players and tapes and printers. So think green, and bring your old electronics to the library!
