We've got another exciting edition of From Page to Stage coming up as Writers’ Theatre stages the musical She Loves Me, a romantic comedy with music by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick who also collaborated on Fiddler on the Roof. The book was written by Joe Masterhoff who is best known for writing the book for Cabaret. The play doesn't open until September 14, 2010, but our kickoff event will happen on Tuesday, August 24th, on the second floor of Writer's Theatre at 325 Tudor Court (please note that the date given in the June Excerpts was incorrect). At the From Page to Stage kick-off event, associate artistic director Stuart Carden will discuss how this musical was selected and produced. Stay after the discussion to enjoy coffee and dessert in celebration of this annual literary event. Other From Page to Stage programs related to this play will be presented at neighboring public libraries through September 27.
