The Glencoe Public Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Juliann Janovicz as Executive Director. Juli’s 24 years of experience at the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District provides the background of experience needed for her new position. She has worked in public service, programming, automation, and collection development and represented the library in community events.
After earning her MLIS degree at UW-Milwaukee in 1985, Juli began her career at the Kenosha Public Library, followed by two years of experience as Public Services Librarian at Zion-Benton Public Library.
Juli began work as Head of Reference at the Winnetka-Northfield Library in 1989, becoming Head of Adult Services in 1998. In 2011, she was named Assistant Director. Juli has also served as Interim Director of the Library in 2011 and 2012.
Juli will start work here on Monday, June 3, 2013, overlapping with current Executive Director Peggy Hamil for a week, just to facilitate transition. Peggy’s last day will be Friday, June 7th.
