Meet Food Writer Leah Eskin
Leah Eskin, Pulitzer Prize nominee and author of the Chicago Tribune’s Home on the Range cooking column for the past ten years, will be at the library on Wednesday, April 23 at 7:30 pm to share her witty and delicious new book Slices of Life: A Food Writer Cooks through Many a Conundrum. Slices of Life is both an enchanting memoir and a cookbook, with more than 200 recipes that have taken the author from the simple birthday cake of her daughter’s one-year-old dreams and Best-Friend (of the canine variety) Biscuits to Post-Cancer Paella and everyone’s go-to Emergency Pasta. Come meet Leah, savor a treat she’ll make for the event, and hear her read from her book, copies of which will be available for purchase from The Book Stall.
