Teen Study Break Lounge Starts Saturday

Looking to take a break while studying for finals? Stop by our Study Break Lounge for FREE snacks and socializing. The Lounge will be open from Saturday, January 10 through Thursday, January 15th, and will be held in either the Hammond Room or the YA Media Room on the first floor (check at the Readers' Services desk for location). Help keep your stress level down and have fun at the same time. Good luck with finals!

Winter Reading Reminder

If you haven't signed up yet for winter reading come on by! We've got great prizes for signing up and for completing the program, and you have until March 1st to read your books. The program is open to children, teens and adults, so stop by the library and escape into a good book!

Holiday Hours

The library will have some special hours over the next two weeks. On Wednesday, December 24th the library will close at 1:00 and will remain closed on Thursday the 25th. The library will also close at 1:00 on Wednesday the 31st and will remain closed on Thursday the 1st. We hope everybody has a great holiday season!

Holiday Card Shop

Are your kids getting excited about the upcoming holidays? They can work off that extra energy making cards for their loved ones at our holiday card shop! Ages 3 and up can stop in at the library on Saturday, December 13th between 11 and 2. We'll provide the paper and glue while the kids bring their imagination!

Winter Reading Club...art and magic programs for kids...the 1963 Chicago Bears...exciting documentaries...these are all programs that will be happening over the next few months at your library! Find out the details on these and more in the new edition of Excerpts. Glencoe residents will soon be receiving their copy of Excerpts in the mail, but you can also check it out online or pick up a copy at the library.
