Among Glencoe's many wonderful traits is its proximity to Chicago. Our
Chicago, As Seen From the River program, which takes place on
Tuesday, February 26th at 7:00, will allow you to cruise down the Chicago River without leaving the library! Architectural docent Hy Speck will talk about the landmark buildings that line the river bank. Some of Chicago’s most famous historic and modern buildings will be discussed, including Willis Tower, Navy Pier, the Wrigley building, Tribune Tower, the Merchandise Mart, the Lyric Opera, 333 W. Wacker, Marina City, and Aqua Tower. This is a must for local architecture and history buffs!
