Monday at the Movies Change

The movie that we'll be showing at our next Monday at the Movies, which takes place on November 19th at 1:00 and 7:00, has been changed from what was originally listed in Excerpts. We will screening Herb and Dorothy, about a postal worker and a librarian who amass a collection of modern art so extensive that it comes to be coveted by museums around the country. The film presents the unlikely story of the Vogels, who began collecting art in the 1960s. Ultimately, the couple, who came to befriend many of the artists they collected, squeezed over 4000 works of art worth millions of dollars into their cramped Manhattan apartment. It's 87 minutes long and is not rated.

Design Your Own Comic!

There's still time for kids to sign up to design their own comic with artist Christine Thornton. On November 17th at 2:00 kids can come and learn about cartoon comics and superheroes. Next, they'll invent and draw their own main character, complete with nemesis and sidekick. Registration is required so please sign up as soon as possible!
