Spring Break Activities for the Kids

We've got all kinds of staycation activities for the kids this Spring Break. Honey the Greyhound will visit on Tuesday, March 29th at both 10:30 and 1:30 (choose only one). Kids will learn about how greyhounds are adopted and become household pets. We'll have a Chat and Chew on Wednesday March 30, at 1:00 where we'll be reading, discussing and creating a craft around the book Henri Matisse: Drawing With Scissors. Kids should bring a light lunch and we'll provide a drink and a sweet treat. Chat and Chew is for grades 2-3 and registration is required. You can also bring your family to Family Storytimes on Monday, March 28, 4:15 p.m and Wednesday, March 30, 10:30 a.m.

Spring Break is when we'll become dinosaur detectives in our Dinosaur Discovery program and learn about dinosaur footprints, eggs, horns, teeth and bones. Dinosaur Discovery will take place on Thursday March 31st at 10:30 and 1:30 (choose only one) and is for children grades K-3. Finally, during Spring Break week you can come to the library and pick up a Kids Book Bingo card. You’ll have 5 weeks to read 5 stories of different genres, lengths,  levels, and formats. Fill a row of 5 and BINGO - you get a prize! We've got a week's worth of activities to keep the kids entertained and educated!
