Seeing Red: The Art and Life of Mark Rothko

The Tony Award-winning play Red, which deals with a period in the life of American artist Mark Rothko, has been playing at the Goodman Theater to rave reviews. Art historian Jeff Mishur returns to the library on Thursday, October 27 at 7:00 pm to discuss Rothko's paintings and mural projects. His lecture, titled Seeing Red: The Art and Life of Mark Rothko, will situate Rothko’s work in the context of post-World War II American art.
