The recent rollout of the Enterprise catalog has been a major disappointment to us all. It has frustrated patrons’ efforts to conduct basic library business such as searching for materials, placing holds and paying fines. We want to assure you that CCS (the regional public library consortium that coordinates the catalog) is making every effort to work towards the reestablishment of reliable, easy access to our shared catalog. Detailed information about these efforts is available here in communications from Richard Shurman, Executive Director of CCS, and from Bill Davison, CEO of SirsiDynix. As part of this effort, the catalog will be unavailable beginning Thursday, October 23 at 11:00 p.m. through approximately 4:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24 while software that should improve Enterprise’s performance is installed.
