European Art at the Time of the Great War

Art historian Jeff Mishur returns for an interactive slide lecture about European art during the time of World War I on Wednesday, October 29th at 7:00. The second decade of the 20th century was tumultuous both in history and art history. Artists in France, Italy and Germany competed for leadership in the modernist art movement. Displaying great variety and creativity, Picasso, Kandinsky, Duchamp, Boccioni and others established the dominant paths their successors would follow for a century.
